Pradeepan was founded in 1995 by local social youth partners as a voluntary, non-profit, nongovernmental organization and is registered under M.P. Society Act 1973. It is headquartered in
Betul district.
This organization started its work with feminist ideology and approach from 10 villages of Bhimpur,
the most backward, poor, malnourished, natural wealth rich, remote block of Betul district, to
address the weak links and problems in the development of underprivileged class and tribal
community such as their own human rights, education, health, food security and livelihood. Started
its journey in 1995 with human rights awareness and women group formation empowerment
programs of tribal community.
For the last 28 years, Pradeepan has been trying to address and solve basic issues like village
development, livelihood, organization, women empowerment, education, health, child rights,
agriculture, environmental protection, climate change, promotion of renewable energy and
disasters. Eligible people have been connected by promoting government schemes.
Currently the organization is working in 475 villages of Betul, Chhindwara, Dindori and Mandla in
Madhya Pradesh.
